FAIRWAYS, GREENS & PUTTS.  The Fairways, Greens & Putts competition  is the second of ten POTY events scheduled throughout the season.  The Club established a version of the Flat Stick Challenge in 2002.

This event will test your skills in driving accuracy, pin seeking and putting.  Play as often as you like between the dates listed and turn in your best result.  Only rounds played at the Elliot Golf Course are eligible.  The member with the most points in this format will win the event.

Points are awarded as follows:

Fairway hit = 1 point
Green hit in regulation = 2 points
0 putts = 3 points
1 putt = 2 points
2 putts = 1 point
3 putts or more = 0 points

FGP Facts

A version of the Fairways, Greens and Putts Competition has been held every year since 2002. In 2002 the event awarded points for fairways hit and number of putts. Beginning in 2003 points were added for greens hit in regulation in addition to fairways hit and number of putts. From 2002 to 2008 the event was held at Ingersoll golf course. In 2009 the event was moved to Elliot golf course.

Including the results of 2010 there have been 4 different winners. The record for wins is currently held by TJ Gwizdala (6) followed by Eric Martin (2). The record for second place finishes is held by Eric Martin (4) followed by Nathan Bryant (3).
