Club members are encouraged to participate in both golf and social activities.  The NEGSC is committed to the pursuit that all member have a reasonable and regular opportunity to play with fellow members and feel strongly that this is an essential component for a healthy golf club and accurate handicap indexes.  Club members have also taken it upon themselves to become more familiar with the rules of golf and the handicap process.

Membership in the NEGSC is available to all men at least 21 years of age or older with a reasonable and regular opportunity to play golf with fellow members.

Each candidate for membership shall be proposed and seconded by two active Club members in good standing. The Club shall act upon each proposal by vote.  A negative votes shall disqualify any candidate.

The new member entrance fee is currently set at the amount of $30.00.  Yearly membership fee is currently set at the amount of $100.00 per year to be paid at the first club meeting in May.  Memberships are for a calendar year only, with all memberships expiring on April 30th.

Membership confers no voice in the operation of any golf courses, clubhouses, nor any facilities of the Rockford Park District.  Membership confers no special privileges in connection with any golf course.

Prior to consideration for membership all candidates are encouraged to enlist the assistance of the Membership Committee Chairman to play a minimum of two rounds of golf with as wide a variety of current members as is reasonable.  Candidates for membership should also read and become familiar with the Club By-Laws.
